Supervisor Michael Hurley has submitted a letter of resignation from the Sun 'N Lake Board of Supervisors, effective immediately. As Mr. Hurley was elected by popular vote, the Board is required within 45 days to appoint a new supervisor to fill his seat. The appointed person would hold the position until the next general election in November 2024.

To qualify, a candidate must be a resident homeowner in the District, registered to vote in Highlands County.
