Update on New Water Meters
With the installation of the new meters, you may notice a change in your monthly billing amount. It is important to understand that for the last 2 to 3 years, all billing was based on estimates, which reflected average historic usage for your property. The new meters now use real-time monitoring to provide accurate readings of your water consumption. If your estimated readings were low compared to your new current readings, we will not be back-billing for any amount you were undercharged, but your bills will be accurate moving forward.
Another advantage to the new meters is that they enable our staff to identify abnormally high usage, which may be the sign of a leak somewhere on your property. In such cases, we will try to notify you as soon as possible so that you may take action to have the problem repaired, saving you money and helping us conserve water.
